In the Indian state of Bihar, a group of nationalist Hindu protesters burnt posters of Shah Rukh Khan's new film Pathan outside cinemas and chanted slogans of "Film Chaliga, Hall Jalega"

According to Indian media, the Bajrang Dil protestors in Bhagalpur city of Shahrukh Khan's new film Pathan, which is a few days away from its release, tore up and burned the posters outside the cinema hall.

According to the film's media, the protestors said that any element that opposes 'Sanatan' culture will not be tolerated in Bhagalpur or across India. The protestors said that if the film is shown in theaters of Bhagalpur, it will be strongly opposed. It may be noted that on Monday, right-wing activist Satya Ranjan Bora filed a police complaint against Khan's upcoming film at Assam's Geetanagar police station.

The film was mired in controversy after its first song, 'Be Sharm Rang', was posted online. Earlier this month, members of Bajrang Dil rioted during the film's promotion at Alpha One Mall in Ahmedabad. They tore down posters of Shah Rukh Khan as well as co-stars John Abraham and Deepika Padukone and vandalized the ticket box area of the cinema

He also threatened cinema owners against screening the film. Controversy over the film Pathan erupted when Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra strongly opposed Padukone's outfit in 'Beshram Rang'.
